The property is beautiful and they have great amenities but the staff at the Players Club and the restaurant were just plain rude. The grill staff hostess wouldn’t even come by to seat us. It was only 8 pm and they posted open until 10! They just would look then turn away. We left because no one would seat us. Then the girls at the cafe barely responded to questions. Food was premade so the sandwich was soggy and the bun tough yet wet. The guy working the players club was just sarcastic and rude. Check in girl was wonderful and the casino floor wait staff were also nice.

Older hotel that could use some renovations, mainly fixing the pool. Rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. Staff is responsive and friendly. Of special note the breakfast ladies went over and above to replace empty serving dishes. Suggest adding more fruit variety. The 24 hour tea and coffee were an added bonus.

We chose the location because of its proximity to the Durango Silverton train station. This older hotel may be affected by a new hotel next door nearing completion but still is a reasonable choice.
