The property is great and so is the lake anna area. They have a lot to do in the area and the house is close to anything you need. The house has everything you would need. We enjoyed it. The only issue was the third night a loud alarm went off in the utility room we could not access. We had no idea what it was and it was blaring nonstop. My family was worried because we couldn't get access to the room to see what it was. I contacted Vacasa managment (who you'll be dealing with even if you book through VRBO) and got no response. Eventually corporate line answered and told me someone would get in contact. We didn't hear from anyone until noon the next day. The maintenance guy tells me the sump pump alarm is going off but there's nothing wrong with the sump pump. He was able to turn it off but not before we endured an entire night of this alarm blaring. The utility room was located centrally on the lower floor and shared a wall with most bedrooms. We had toddlers and other family who didn't get any sleep that night on this short vacation of ours.It's understandable, though annoying, that something unforeseen like this could occur. However, the lack of response from Vacasa management toward the issue was unacceptable. I complained at the end of our trip for a reasonable refund for the one night that was ruined for us and the most Vacasa would do is refund me 3% of the booking. In summary, the house/lake anna are fantastic but the property management is terrible.
