"I love the peacefulness of this hotel, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. Even though it’s not a beach front property, they do provide transportation and access to a near by private island (Big French Key). There are multiple swimming pools. They have a couple of restaurants so no worries about where to eat early in the morning or late at night as one of them is a sports bar which by the way, has live music some days of the week. There’s also a supermarket very close to it so if you stay at one of the suites, you can stock the full size fridge with goodies ;-). Thanks to Alison and Eldon at the front desk because as always they are very friendly and knowledgeable."

"We enjoyed our stay at the house! Gloria was wonderful to work with. She was always quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was just as listed. The location was nice and quiet, away from all the business at the West Bay, but still within a reasonable drive to the beaches there. The only downside was the beach at Palmetto Bay wasn’t great - not one you’d walk into the ocean at or lay out on. However, there was a nice pool, hammocks, and a beautiful pier out over the water with hammocks as well. We loved hanging out at the bar/restaurant. The food & drinks were great! Richard and Lisa took excellent care of us there and were nice to get to know. The house had everything we needed & was comfortable- including comfortable beds! Sitting on the porch under the fans, listening to the birds and watching the water was so peaceful and relaxing! We would recommend getting a rental car to get around easier. It took a day or so to get used to driving there, but it wasn’t bad. The brewery next door to the resort was great too! Good beer & a nice place to hang out at. We always enjoyed coming back “home” to Palmetto Bay!"

"The young lady working the front desk was super! My check in was great and since my flight was cancelled that day and was not scheduled until later the next day the hotel agreed to give me a late check-out which is very much appreciated. My room was on the ground floor of a motel style building. The room was very clean and comfortable with a 60 inch smart tv! The fridge was stocked with 2 big bottles of water which was also very much appreciated. The restaurant served excellent meals. If there were any cons to the property it would be the welding/machine shop across the road which was noisy in the morning. The pool was very small with only a few lounge chairs available. All and all it wasn't big and fancy but it was very adequate for a short stay. "

"What a spot! I have to say that the location of the house was utterly fabulous. As I lay in bed or did yoga or visited with my family right in front of the huge glass walls opening out onto a most gorgeous ocean in every shade of blue and gray, depending on the weather, with the palm trees and other flowers and plants dotting the beach, I felt like I was soaking in paradise. We felt totally safe, which is not always the case in this part of the world, such that we didn't worry about walking the beach alone, day or night. Every time we left, all I wanted was to come back, as the towns were chaotic and there were sales people roaming the beaches. My one disapointment was that the "bedroom" with the single bed is actually a nook with no door inside the second master. I had counted on that room for my teen who needs her space and that didn't work out. We loved the brewery walking distance, just outside the gate, and also had a couple of extra nice meals at the Cove restaurant in the resort. The prices at both places, as well as the taxis and groceries are at or above American standard costs, though, FYI. The pool was clean and lovely and we especially loved the dock and the shaded hammocks and loungers at the end. Perfect for swimming off of in the lovely clear, flat water, especially since quite a bit of sea grass grows in the water near the beach. We had a couple minor issues at the house during our two weeks and the management fixed them promptly. Highly recommend."
