« This was a last minute booking for a trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The location was perfect and only a couple of miles from a place to grab pizza for dinner after a day of hiking! The house was perfect for us and Angela left us 6 fresh eggs from the chicken coop out back so breakfast was easy!! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Lassen! »

« This was the most unique place I have ever stayed. First thing there was no one in the office when I arrived at 4pm I had to phone a number placed on the door. After 10 minutes a man wearing skimpy shorts and a turbin stumbled out of back room and opened the door. After giving me the key to room he attempted to get more money after I had paid when I reserved the room There was no maid service and no ice machine and the vending machine was empty. « Comfortable place with easy access to Lassen Volcanic NP. Kitchen cookware left something to be desired and there wasn’t a very efficient way to make ice as the icemaker in the fridge didn’t seem to be connected and the only alternative was a couple of ice trays (one of which was cracked and unusable on one end).On the whole though, not a bad place and I would stay here again. »

« We visited for 4 days and stayed a 5th day so we could get another day of skiing in. We were comfortable, the place was heated, warm, cozy and away from everything which is what we wanted. There’s a store in town (Reeds) where you can grab groceries, Redding is a half hour away, Shasta 1.5 hours. Peace, quiet, Serenity, good for the kids to run around. Plenty of firewood for the old school stove. Beds cozy. Office nearby. Hottub wasn’t overchlorinated which was nice. They should make it lighter...
