It was very quite, and the beds were very comfortable with an electrical blanket. The cottage was quite well equipped and there was heating. We had a great trip to Doubtful Sound, which the lady at the reception helped us to book. Unfortunately, the weather was quite wet, and the cottage was a bit damp. We asked for an extra change of towels as they did not dry well in the cottage. We went to Te Anau for dinner as the local pub mostly seems to have fried food. We found a nice Indian Restaurant, and the Thai place in Te Anau was very busy. It's located near the water with wonderful views (and kayaks!), and a great outdoor fireplace. We stayed in a cabin which was away from the young campers and very quiet, but for a small place with a lot of people in it, it's very chilled.
