« Enjoyed the weekend at Wauchope Cottage. Perfect location to explore the coast and Galloway forest area of SW Scotland. House is super clean and much more room than we expected. The grounds are gorgeous and we loved walking around. It would be nice if there was an opportunity to visit the castle to see the inside. This is a fairly remote property, so be prepared to drive to anything you need. But so quiet and peaceful. »

« Beautiful location with lovely, comfortable accomodation. The night staff were very friendly, accomodation and helpful on our arrival. We felt very welcome. However the day time reception staff were quite abrupt and rude not only to us but we watched a few other guests get 'told off' for petty things. Was rather unfortunate to witness. It spoilt the mood immediately. The lounge area was so relaxing with gorgeous views. The pool area was nice and clean but the floors are quite smooth and slippy! »

« Een heel mooi, superruim huis, van buiten ziet het er misschien niet zo ruim uit maar dat is bedrog. Huis van een echtpaar dat met liefde geschikt is gemaakt en wordt gehouden voor gasten. Je hebt geen direct contact met de eigenaren maar wel telefonisch en eventueel via een sms. De woning is superkompleet, er is echt alles, ook de keuken is helemaal kompleet. Het huis ligt tegen The Galloway National Park aan, ook een bijzonder mooi en heel uitgestrekt gebied. Het is een heel mooie uitvalsbasis...

« We loved our stay at the Wee Silverburn! It was the perfect size for our family of 4. Decorated so nicely, very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and baking wares and cleaning supplies. The babbling brook just beyond the lush garden plantings completed the lovely setting. The location is wonderful, an easy walk down the beach and other offerings at Whiting Bay. The bus stop is right there too if you want to pop to a pub or two in Lamlash for dinner and drinks....
