It would be great to have a better late self check in as many properties have. Our late check in required additional charges to meet so late at night. It’s in a great location and was clean. Two other issues were: lack of individual a/c split units and just vents in each bedroom. The back two bedrooms were very hot and the rest of the rooms were ok. They came and tried to adjust this but that’s just the way it is. Also, for a 5 bedroom apartment we only received 2 sets of keys which was very, very difficult to plan around. All the rooms are on one floor and there was plenty of space and shelves for storing clothes and shower gear. Extra towels would have been nice, as well as toilet paper. They were so kind and let us have early check, which was wonderful after a 10 hr flight. The elevator was broken when we arrived which caused a major worry for us as the 93 year old uses a mobility scooter and going up and down the stairs was going to be a nightmare. We contacted Leo and the elevator was working the next morning! Wonderful!! The home is large and worked perfectly for our family! We would definitely stay here again! ##### Jarrell S. Bedrooms are small but adequate. 3 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with showers; 4th full bath with tub and 2 sinks is accessible from the main hallway. Washing machine with a dryer was a plus. Showerheads were disappointing and produced subpar water flow. The walls were scuffed throughout; unit could look cleaner with a fresh coat of paint. It is necessary to walk up 4-5 steps to access the one-person elevator. During our 2-hour check-in process, the property rep did not speak English and used a phone translator to communicate with us. Temps reached 95F on our arrival day, and we had trouble getting the a/c to cool lower than 78F for the first 24 hours. It appeared as though the thermostat had a pre-set level it could not go below regardless of the setting selected. The day after check-in, an a/c technician came and made adjustments that slightly helped. The hot water was turned off when we arrived so be sure to check this while the property manager is still on-site. We were a party of 10 (5 couples) who stayed at this property. It was very conveniently located, super close to everything, including a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, groceries, shopping, etc., and not too far from major sites (Plaza Mayor, Plaza Espana, Prado Museum, Royal Palace, etc.) and everything else. We all thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at this property - it was nice to be able to do some heavy-duty shopping in the area, then walk back to the property to taka a quick siesta, before going out again for a late dinner or some tapas and sangria. The unit was large, and we were all ale to spend time together in the common areas (living and dining rooms), or retreat to our separate bedrooms for peace and quiet and privacy. Well-equipped for the most part, although the cappuccino/espresso machine was apparently broken and not working, which was disappointing - but there was a percolator so we were able to get by - there is also a nice coffee shop right next door. Mouthwatering churros and chocolate nightly at Valor on the corner, mere steps from the property. We all really had a fabulous time and would absolutely stay here again if we have the chance to do so in the future. Thank you! ##### Anthony C. The apartment is very centrally located close to the Plaza Callao. We walked to the Gran Via, the Plaza de Espana, the Plaza Mayor and most of the major attractions in Madrid. Restaurants and Cafes are plentiful in the area. The Carrefour supermarket is one block from the apartment. The apartment had a few problems but they were taken care promptly. The shower in the master bathroom was not draining and the bathroom got flooded. The water heater was off and we had no hot water when we first came. The guest shower door was not closing and the bathroom got flooded. One of the guest windows was not opening properly, needed a part ordered. There was not a single knife that would cut. There was no cutting board. There were no remote controls for two of the TV’s. Leo sent his partner, Daniel, to take care of the problems. He was very rude and tried to blame us of the missing things in the apartment and the water heater been off, when we just checked in. At the end, everything was taken care of. We had a great time!! Leo was great! Alma was also great! We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who has a big family. The apartment has everything you need to have a great vacation! ##### Theresa A.
