« Loved this cottage for its beautiful yard (esp. hydrangeas and field), glorious views from the master bedroom and proximity to the West Quoddy State Park. The trails at Quoddy were superb and the striped lighthouse was a bonus (go for a sunset!). Campobello Island in Canada is nearby. A 30-minute-ish tour of FDR’s summer cottage on the island was worthwhile. (No entry fees. Bring your passport.) Watch “Sunrise at Campobello” DVD at the cottage before going. « Beautiful cottage that had everything we needed. Very clean and only minutes from downtown. The only feedback I have is the use of the laundry detergent. Tide has a very strong scent that is not pleasing to many people. The use of a scent free detergent would create a neutral but clean appearance on the towels and bedding. »

« Superbe chalet très près de la mer. Fenestration et grande galerie qui permettent de profiter de la vue de la mer et ce, même par temps de pluie. Visite faite avec 2 chiens de grande taille, chalet parfait pour eux également. Seul hic c’est qu’il n’y a vraiment pas grand chose à Jonesport, plus proche épicerie à 22 minutes d’auto. Très propre et très beau chalet! »

« We loved this house and the location! We've stayed in a nearby house for many vacations through the years but needed something bigger, and this house was perfect for us. It's quirky and filled with art, and beautiful ocean views.The upstairs layout is a little funky (one bedroom is only accessible via adjoining rooms, and one large bedroom has the back staircase in it) but it was totally fine for us. Our kids loved the visiting chickens and walking to the beach each morning. »

« The house is a Ranch with numerous doors and windows allowing access to the outdoors from every point. An enclosed, screened in sun room on the main level & a spacious lower-level deck allow for great views, catching some rays and an evening cocktail. There is also an electric winch for launching & retrieving kayaks and canoes.For anyone who is mobility impaired, the house is easily accessed by an outside ramp. « Our favorite place to stay in Maine! Family friendly, easy check in, attentive host, stunning views, comfortable beds, thoughtful accomodations. We love the Maine themed books and kids toys. Great location near a campground - we walked out to the point each night to collect shells and enjoy the sunset. Close enough to Jonesport but far enough away to feel secluded. We enjoyed the fire pit several times as well. We love it here! »

The penisula is a great spot for morning sunrises and catching some photos of loons. Many kayaks to enjoy time on the lake, laumch right fromt the beach. Plenty of indoor activities as well. « We love Maine summers and Jenny's home is perfect for our family. We look forward to the relaxation and getting away from things for a while. The view out the numerous windows and doors in the back towards Holmes Bay is spectacular. You can see the tides come in and out and the view faces almost due west for great sunset views every evening. The home has all the supplies we need to be comfortable for the week.
