Being positioned on a golf course off the main road made for quiet nights. The bistro next door with the included 10% discount for staying at the cottage was excellent for breakfast and evening drinks. Perfect little picturesque and quaint cottage. »

North of the city was Constable country… nice walks and interesting info on the artists. South we enjoyed Tiptree museum, and the Salt marshes for walking and photography. « We had a really lovely stay here in slightly bigger accessible glamping pop! The pod was lovely and clean and the surroundings were beautiful! The only thing that was a slight problem was the TV didn't work as it has to work off of wifi and the wifi just wasnt strong enough! It would try to download and just get stuck! In all honesty this wasnt that big of a deal for us as we had brought games to play and my son had a couple of things downloaded on his ipad! It was only because it rain on our...

« The farm that the hut was located in was great. Lots of animals around and it was really fun feeding the alpacas! Host was friendly and accommodating. Overall a great getaway from the city. The directions could have been clearer, there’s no mention that I could see of the farms name however this was quickly resolved by a 1 minute phone call to the host. »

« Oh yes,all excellent.We enjoyed Christmas,complete with tree and twinkly lights provided in this lovely town cottage.Well equipped and really clean,comfortable and cosy and car parked right by the house. The road I right in the town and yet so quiet! Nearby are the lovely water meadows and Croft for country walks so hardly used the car as all accessible on foot.pleasure to enjoy strolling around the town after dark to see the Christmas lights as it was safe and comfortable…and it didn’t...

« We recently rented three homes in England - They were all very, very, good. Even with this tough competition, the Mac Shack stood out as an absolutely wonderful stay. From the friendly, helpful, host and hostess and their beautiful, very comfortable home, I cannot imagine a better rental. We have rented many homes from VRBO, some City apartments, country cottages, beautiful villas and even a castle. Mac shack was the equal or better than any other accommodation. « The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. We were met by the owner, Mark, on arrival, who was very welcoming. He provided lots of local information, including walks and pubs marked on an OS map. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. There are several properties here, but all wirh separate entrances and outside seatinf areas so they feel private. It was a great base for a few days in the Suffolk countryside. »

They gave us information surrounding the history of the property, a great insight & an amazing welcome basket. The place was beautiful & cosy. Local White Horse pub (minutes away, walkable if you're feeling energetic) is a must for their housemade pizza and in-house brewery. Great weekend getaway ... highly recommended. »
