"What a little gem . For a 2* hostal this place was excellent. Spotlessly clean . Beautiful decor throughout with many Andalucian tiled floors . Jose was very friendly and helpful. Underground parking for 11.50€ a day close by or free on street parking ( if you can find a spot) 20 min walk to the beach or the local bus costs 60 cents each Bathroom a little small but adequate air conditioning in bedroom and beds comfortable Would definitely stay here again. Deserves a 5 * review in my opinion...

Abril Nerja

8/10 Good

"Very good location, helpful staff, nice room Only one problem is parking."

Hotel Bajamar

10/10 Excellent

"The Bajamar is an excellent hotel, positioned in quiet place within an easy walk to the centre. The staff are really friendly and helpful. My only slight criticism is that the attached cafe and bar closes at 3pm in late September until the end of the session. So you aren't able to take a drink up to your room as you prepare to go out in the evening. Other options are nearby but it would nice to go downstairs and take a coffee or beer back to your room. Kevin & Sue"

HC Calahonda Beach Nerja

10/10 Excellent

"Great location . Comfortable with everything you need for a short break"

Nerja VG Hostal Boutique

10/10 Excellent

"Fabulous very clean hotel, with great staff. Hotel is very new, absolutely spotless clean, very quiet and peaceful. Pool area spotless also, you nearly had the pool to your yourself, lovely to unwind. One minute walk to busy streets with lots of bars & restaurants. Few minutes walk to beaches. All staff very attentive and friendly. Very well run hotel. We will definitely return to this hotel on our return trip to Nerja"

Sibarys Hotel Boutique

10/10 Excellent

"I was very impressed by the room's cleanliness and the facilities overall. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also excellent; they care about every detail. This place is a gem."

Apartamentos Pepe Mesa

10/10 Excellent

"all staff very friendly and helpful, cleaner did excellent job along with towels changed regularly, panoramic view of nerja and surrounding areas from rooftop terrace, excellent location, air conditioning excellent, extremely comfortable double bed, if you ask at reception they are very happy to provide a loan of a iron, no sunshades provided for loungers on terrace, toaster was a disaster as there was no settings on it and had to stand by it and remove toast when it was toasted (on first use toast was burned to a crisp) it would have been appreciated to have two sets of keys to enable us to occasionally go out separately for whatever reason."

Hotel Los Arcos

10/10 Excellent

"We had an excellent stay at this family run hotel. The breakfast was basic however it met our needs as we don’t eat much back home at breakfast time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant on site and we had a wonderful meal in very nice surroundings. Beware you need to book ahead for the restaurant."

Hotel Costa Andaluza

10/10 Excellent

"I lived in this hotel for 8 days, very friendly staff, hotel very clean, it is a very nice small hotel in a very small city of Spain (Motril), it has all necessary things to be there as a tourist."

Hotel Noy

8/10 Good

"Polite helpful staff. Clean hotel. Bed comfortable. Room very warm."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Lentegí?

The best area to stay in Lentegí is within the village centre itself, particularly around the main square, Plaza de la Iglesia.Lentegí is a small, traditional white village located in the Lecrín Valley. The village centre is compact and easy to navigate on foot, with narrow, winding streets that open onto charming plazas. You'll find a few local shops, a couple of traditional eateries, and the village church here. It's an ideal spot for those seeking an authentic Andalusian experience away from the bustling coast.Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the village centre particularly appealing. It offers a chance to experience local life, enjoy quiet evenings on a terrace with mountain views, and use it as a base for exploring the surrounding natural beauty, such as the nearby hiking trails. The pace of life here is slow and relaxed, great for unwinding. For those who appreciate the convenience of being close to amenities while still enjoying a rural setting, properties just on the outskirts of the main village also offer excellent options.

The best time to go to Lentegí is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasantly warm and the crowds are smaller.During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, which are great for exploring the natural beauty of the area. The Mediterranean climate provides plenty of sunshine without the intense heat of summer, making outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the nearby villages much more enjoyable. You'll also find it easier to book quality accommodation and enjoy a more relaxed pace.Couples looking for a romantic escape will particularly appreciate these times of year. The mild weather is ideal for leisurely walks through the olive groves and orange orchards, enjoying al fresco dining, and discovering the quiet charm of the Andalusian countryside. The spring brings blooming wildflowers, while autumn offers beautiful colours and the olive harvest season. For solo travellers seeking a tranquil retreat or an active break, the shoulder seasons offer the great balance. You can enjoy the hiking trails of the Sierra de la Almijara, Tejeda y Alhama Natural Park in comfortable conditions, or simply unwind by a pool with stunning mountain views.
