Parasol is located just a few blocks down the hill from the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial. Head a mile down, and you'll arrive at La Jolla Shores, a charming area known for its main beach, ideal for swimming, surfing, and sea cave kayak tours. The area is also home to great restaurants like Piatti, Barbarella, Oceana Romantica, Sandpiper, the Marine Room, El Charro, the Cheese Shop, Dough Mamma, Shore Rider Bar, and Jeff’s Burgers. A little further is Caroline’s Seaside Café, the renowned Birch Aquarium, the iconic Salk Institute, the Torrey Pines Gliderport, and Torrey Pines, one of the country's top public golf courses.

Home Truths:
- We allow service animals at this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- This home is located in a neighborhood with a strict noise ordinance policy and therefore is only suitable for quieter groups. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000.
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted.
- Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine.
- While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance.
- No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings.
- All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

Great place in a great location

We were in La Jolla for a 5-night trip and loved this property. Amazing views from the patio and hot tub, great location to get to downtown LaJolla or San Diego, and the house was the perfect size for our group of 8.

La Jolla Get Away

I stayed at this located over the weekend for a work retreat. The home was fully stocked and in a great location. Check-in was an absolute breeze and check out was even easier. This home offered ocean views, plenty of space for work and relaxation, and was secluded yet reasonably close to restaurants. I will certainly stay here again.

This property is located in a great location with a beautiful view. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful yet not too far away (10-15 mins) from relatively any activity you may be interested in. The common spaces (living room, dining room, kitchen, and patio) have plenty of room and are kept up well. You can comfortably fit 2 people in each bed but I honestly wouldn’t recommend more than that. The couch does pull out into a bed for another guest or two if you would like that as an option. There are multiple bathrooms to use which was very convenient for our large group, however besides the main/master bathroom, they were fairly outdated and both had minor issues. Despite this, I would stay here again and recommend this spot to other people as well!

Home and amenities are quite aged for price - furnishings, floors, pool table (not level), etc. Location is convenient and view is spectacular. Pretty strange to have jacuzzi on deck locked for visitors.

Great Views and plenty of room

We booked this property for a week long Spring Break trip for 3 adults and 2 kids ages 3 and 9. The check in process was really easy and property management communication was excellent. The home itself is lovely and fit our needs. Having onsite laundry and a bath tub was key with the youngest. The sand toys and chairs were great for our beach trips and got a lot of use. The cross streets are pretty busy and don't have many sidewalks, so don't plan to walk anywhere from the house. We found several grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops within a 10 minute drive.

Amazing home and view

My family and I spent the long Thanksgiving weekend at Hidden Valley. We enjoyed the amazing ocean view from inside the home and also on the patio. The home was very spacious and we enjoyed playing pool. The outdoor hot tub appears broken and was an eye sore. I recommend it to be replaced or removed for additional balcony space.

Excellent property, good location

Check in/out was an easy process. The property has excellent views of the ocean and LA Jolla, is very quiet and came with everything we would need to take care of a family of 6 for a few days. Very comfy beds and good kitchen supplies with well-stocked bathrooms. Will stay again soon.

This house is in a great location with excellent views. Great space for entertaining and relaxing inside and out. The house is very old and could use a full redo and updating inside....plumbing, walls, baseboards, bathrooms, etc.as it shows its age and wear and tear when you are there but not in the photos. The jacuzzi was filthy and unusable.

Amazing views

Great experience here. The main living areas have been renovated and look great. 2 of the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms are still outdated. We loved all of the sliding doors and French doors to let the breeze in. Plenty of parking, kitchen was well stocked. 2 minute drive to the beach! The views were truly incredible. The hot tub is huge but was out of service, probably because of the drought. We didn’t mind, we weren’t planning on using it anyway.

Views and balcony were great

First, the location is great. Placed on a hill overlooking La Jolla, the home offers views, especially at sunset. The home itself was nice, clean and met our needs. Only complaints would the hot tub water was dirty, the top was off and we decided not to use it. And the shower in the guest bathroom was tiny. Would stay again
