Hotel comfortable and atmospheric, situated in an interesting typically French small town. Evening meal was disappointing. MOST ANNOYING WAS THE REALISATION THAT THE 'PRIVILEGE' OF BOOKING THROUGH EXPEDIA HAD COST AN EXTRA EURO 17...LAST TIME!

My stay was all I had hoped for and more. A beautiful typically old style French Hotel, just as I remember them from my youth. Full of all that’s great about France and all run by really friendly and helpful people. Personally I couldn’t have asked for more. The restaurant, by the way, is fantastic.

Relaxing.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Very nice, clean room with air-con. Easy free parking. Hotel attracts customers travelling in classic cars, added bonus. Food was excellent. The location was quiet & rural.

AMAZING HOTEL IN PICTURESQUE LITTLE TOWN - PERFECT
We love this hote, we have stayed about 8 times in total and keep going back because its simply quality, absolute top quality for a very reasonable price. Stunning rooms, beautiful restaurante, amazing food, attentive helpful services, lovely friendly staff, just the best, the very best.

JUST A LITTLE DIAMOND OF A PLACE
I just adore this hotel. Its simply one of the best I have ever used in France. Really friendly helpful polite staff, so so lovely, rooms are just beautiful, absolutely stunning in every way and impeccably clean and tidy. Food just amazing, and the most wonderful ambient place to sit and have a beer in the evening or a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. I cannot fault this place, its perfect. And its absolutely one of my favourite places to say every time we are travelling through the region. Wonderful in every way, you wont be disappointed. A really wonderful find for us 3 years ago and we just keep going back because it keeps delighting us with its general feel, ambience and wonderful location and staff.

This hotel has a historic feel due to the Le Mans 24 Hour association. It is in a beautiful lively town and area. Warm and very friendly atmosphere. We all will be going back again soon. Thankyou for a lovely stay Sandra Harrison

A real find. From the outset the staff could not have been friendlier. The room (tn the annexe) was very comfortable (though no bath). Food excellent. Set in a very pretty village

"Good choice" said my wife!
We were travelling from Dieppe to Bergerac by car and wanted a stopover around Le Mans. Logis de France just seemed different from the rest - and it was. 12 miles off the route was all it took to go back in time to a different world.... of racing heroes and exotic cars - all in a most delightful setting. The hotel was just excellent, small enough to treat guests like royalty, large enough to provide superb rooms and food. My overall impression? "Just the Job". I' m not going to recommend it as everyone will want to go there!

GORGEOUS HOTEL, BEAUTIFUL ROOM, WONDERFUL.
Fantastic hotel, wonderful location. Staff couldnt have been any friendlier. The room was absolutely gorgeous, and the restaurant and food were simply amazing. We will definitely stay here again on our trips south through France from the Uk. What an absolutely wonderful find. Cannot wait to go back again. Perfect, absolutely perfect. Such helpful staff who couldnt do enough for us. We had our two labradors with us and we were made to feel exceptionally welcome with them. Simply the best hotel we have stayed at on our trips through France. We will most definitely be back. Simply gorgeous.

Visited many times and stayed twice. Lovely hotel in a lovely little town. Perfect location for sight seeing in the georgous region of France. Already planning next visit. Oh and did I forget the mention the great motor racing history! Worth a visit to soak up that too.

Fantastic l'Hotel de France
We were pleasantly surprised with this gem of a hotel! We booked this hotel last minute and from the pictures it looked very pleasant. When we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome and shown to our room. The hotel is beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail, our two girls were so happy to find that the adjoining room had bunk beds. There is a beautiful heated swimming pool and a fantastic restaurant on sight. We will definitely be returning to the hotel on our next trip to the region.

Beautiful hotel in fabulous location
A beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. We were even able to park our motorbike in a secluded secure spot on the premises at the back of the hotel. Eating in the hotel's restaurant is a must - especially the cheese trolley!!! Our room was huge and very well decorated with all the facilities we required.

This is truly a piece of nostalgic France the hotel and village are ideal for a stop en route and for a quiet getaway. The food in the restaurant is as good as you'll get at any high class restaurant. We stayed en route but were so impressed we will be making another trip just explore and enjoy the area more.

Beautiful and quaint
Nestled in the French countryside, it was a very beautiful discovery when approached. We checked in, toured the town on foot, and had dinner in their restaurant. Next morning we had breakfast there. There is a small annex to the hotel, which is about 4 or 5 rooms. We were placed there. It had been totally renovated. Everything was very well done except the cupboard, which was really not very functional. The shower is open in the large bathroom. There are no shelves in the bathroom to put toiletries. The room was quiet and very comfortable. The sheets were the best I have ever slept in! I asked about them the next morning and she told me they were a professional grade cotton, but not Egyptian, as those wrinkled too easily. Sleeping in those sheets was heavenly!

Our stay at the Hotel de France
There was a problem with our booking (not the fault of the hotel) as there was an event on at the hotel. However the lady on reception was extremely helpful and made many phone calls in order to resolve the issue. We were then advised much to our relief that they were able to let us have a room in the annex. Although a little small it was a lovely room. We were very welcome and had a most enjoyable dinner in the evening. Overall it was great stay and we give full marks to the hotel.

I booked the hotel by mistake as it was in the wrong direction for our travels. Best mistake I've ever made! The hotel is stunning. I loved how each room is named for a different race car driver. our room for three was comfortable and the furnishings delightful.

Travelling through on the way to the South of France and we wished we could of stayed for longer. This hotel is excellent, if I were in the area again I would definitely book it again for solo or family stays. Love the Le Mans memorabilia, but that plays second fiddle to great service etc

What can I say. Great hotel in a lovely location. Our family room was superb with all mod cons. Resturant was excellent . Really enjoyed the simple yet delicious food. Kids loved the pool. Great welcome by the staff . Highly recommended.

What a great find!
This hotel has real character. The setting, in the square in the centre of town, is perfect. Free parking in front of hotel or in their own secure car park if space available. East access to hotel reception. Our two family rooms were in the annex on the ground floor. One was disabled friendly with wide doors and wet room ensuite. Tea and coffee were provided in the room (fresh milk on request). Towels and face cloths provided. The fixed price dinner menu was excellent, both food and service. Breakfast was also very good value with a basket of rolls and croissants at the table and a buffet of cereals, cold meats and cheese. Coffee and tea were served to the table. The heated swimming pool was very well maintained with free towels for pool use. Sun loungers and umberellas were available.

Remarkable Find!
They have some of the most wonderful and hard working staff that we have experienced during our trips to France. Loved the historical photos in the Brasserie. We enjoyed the pool and found that the location was a good base for exploring the countless Chateaux and sites to see in the area. We ate like royalty at their restaurant. The food was amazing!

Manageress - the only Brit in the village syndrome
A good hotel spoilt by the surly almost offensive attitude of the manageress. The other staff were helpful, the hotel was smart and the restaurant good if a little expensive. Pet policy was not well explained in advance, in that on arrival it was explained that pets could only be accommodated in the annexe.
