"Wonderful stay with exceptionally thoughtful staff. Although the vegetarian breakfast options were limited on my first day, the team noticed and went above and beyond, each day the breakfast improved with more choices, and they even added a sign inviting vegan guests to inform the staff. Such a considerate touch. Great amenities like face masks and hair bands as well. I loved my stay and will absolutely return when I’m back in Kyoto."

"This hotel is a tourist dream! The staff were accommodating and the place was extremely clean. The morning breakfast was incredible—fresh fish, a huge variety and a great system so you can wait in your room until a table is ready. Family of 2 adults and 2 10yo—- great location to Kyoto Station— we will return! "

"We stayed in the Premier Twin room and really enjoyed it. The cast iron bath was unusual and a little cramped but a very novel experience. The coffee station was really unique and some of the best coffee we’ve drunk in Japan. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!"

"R West Group VIA INN Prime Kyotoeki Hachijoguchi is a solid choice mainly because of its unbeatable location. While the rooms do feel a bit outdated, the convenience more than makes up for it. The hotel is just a short walk from Kyoto Station and very close to malls and shopping centers, making it easy to get around and find food or things to do. Having a 7-Eleven right in the building is a huge plus and incredibly convenient, especially after a long day of sightseeing. The pajamas provided are also nice and comfortable, which was a pleasant bonus. Overall, if location and convenience matter more to you than modern room design, this hotel is definitely worth considering."

"This is a great hotel conceniently located right next to the station (literally a crosswalk away) with good facilities and friendly staff. We had the smart Kaguya room with twin beds. The room is on the smaller side of things, with not much room to maneuver two luggage cases. We were lucky to be on the top floor so the room was rather quiet, but could still hear noises from the station, although nothing too intense to interrupt our sleep. The highlight of the hotel would be the public bath, which was large and wonderful. The staff were excellent and spoke fluent English. Overall, this is a great economical choice for anyone who wants super close proximity to the Kyoto station. "
