The room was clean but the conditions of the carpet and other furniture was run down and needed to be updated. The staff was kind though their English wasn’t too great. Close to everything. The suite was so big with a living area. The bathroom was really big and the jacuzzi was a convenience! After a day of walking the bathtub was a respite for tired muscles. No need for onsen! Rooms were really spacious with nice bathrooms with a soaking tub, a large bed, a nice (visual only) stone garden and even a small bamboo floor meditation/prayer room near the entrance. If you want to walk to many locations (Gion, Pontocho, even the Philosopher's Path) and be near both bus and metro lines, it is also convenient.
