This unit was beautiful, roomy, and had everything we needed—a pool and snorkeling access being the main things. We snorkeled every day in the crystal clear water and spent the rest of the time laying around the pool doing crossword puzzles. If you need to de-stress, this is the place to do it.Donkeys walked down the street at one point and there were tons of birds.The local grocery store was an easy walk. Paradise Rentals was responsive and provided access to an app with a comprehensive guide for our stay. Check in was flawless. The home was prepped, clean, and well-cared for with a good selection of amenities. The pool area is like having your own mini-resort! Were able to rinse and dry gear without it being in the way. Dive site and great snorkeling just down the private steps off the back of the property. It’s located in a nice quiet neighborhood convenient to town and groceries, about a 10 minute drive. There’s a closer grocery store, about 5 minutes but seemed to have less fresh produce and tons of frozen foods. The AC worked great when needed. If you’re really into cooking- the kitchen could use a little attention in the cookware department, but we managed pretty well all things considered. I would recommend this villa. Everything was very clean & well maintained. Make sure to read the digital guide the rental company sends you- I was expecting a binder in the house & forgot that they had emailed the guide until a few days into our trip. It’s a private,safe, quiet area with beautiful birds, flowers & lizards. In the mornings we’d sit outside listening to the birds & watching them flutter around. There is a view of the sea when you are standing. There is a stairway that leads you down the “beach” area & you are right there at the water’s edge. Make yourself aware of Bonaire’s painted yellow rocks as that’s where you enter the sea… it can be tricky to navigate getting into the water because of the sometimes sharp & slippery coral, so enter where you are supposed to. The snorkeling right in our backyard was magnificent! We took a catamaran tour for snorkeling & they took us to our spot at Andrea, which shows how great it is. The beds were comfortable, the house was stocked with everything we needed & it was an overall wonderful experience! A few notes: the house has been painted a darker color & has beautiful murals on the outside walls now. Only 3 negatives, but in no way should be a deterrent from staying here- the iguanas like to poop on the edges of the pool but it’s their home, you have to walk through the twin bedroom to get to main bedroom & glass doors off main bedroom were jammed. ##### Amy N. We were here after New Years with a plan for me to learn to dive (my friends are experienced divers), and this villa did not disappoint. It had everything we needed for an amazing stay. It was incredibly clean and the location was perfect for a quick dive off the beach or a trip into town. It's generally convenient to all the dive spots on the north side of the island, but everything on Bonaire is within a 30 min drive honestly. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was working well and was a god send for us Colorado USA residents. The pool area is private and lovely! The dive/snorkel site at the edge of the property is Andrea 1\. The reef there is in excellent condition. We found entry and exit was a challenge for divers not experienced with shore diving. Our snorkelers had no problem with it. I would stay again. Be aware of the $70 head tax to get on the island and the $40 fee per person to use the marine park. At $110 per person it can be unexpected. We had to pay $540 just to be there using the marine park for 5 people. ##### Gerald R. The furniture is comfortable and the house well appointed. The layout, having to use an outdoor door or walk thru the second bedroom to get to the master bedroom is a bit odd. The outdoor area is lovely with multiple seating areas and tons of privacy. There is a walk down from the deck directly down to the Andrea I dive site. One thing I would recommend is to add a few outdoor umbrellas for shade. Paradise Rentals was easy to work with. The pre-arrival communication was good and let us know everything we needed. There was a small mix-up with the keys not being at the airport when we arrived, but a few calls were made and the wait for them was not too long. We had a problem with one of the air conditioners during our stay and someone was sent within a few hours of our call to fix the unit. This spacious home is well-kept and very clean. It is located in a community. Despite the houses lined up next to each other, it felt very private - we never heard noise from neighbors. The kitchen is stocked for every need that might arise. There is a dishwasher too! Beautiful stainless appliances, plus there is drinkable water from the fridge. All the rooms are spacious. Internet worked perfect after I turned on the router. The pool area is roomy with several lounge areas, plus the pool is a good size. The A/C in the house worked instantly. The master bedroom A/C is quiet and we were comfortable every night. The master is surrounded by windows and there are french doors that can be opened to the garden.The master is spacious with lots of closet room. The master bath is huge with lots of counter space! The garage made an excellent storage area for our unlimited nitrox tanks from AB Rental. The side gate was perfect for bringing gear back to the pool area to rinse off. Two big bins are provided for cleaning scuba gear. The hose and outdoor shower are also right there. There is a hanging bar as well as a drying rack, all our gear dried surprisingly fast! We dove twice from the house, which is located right in front of dive sites Andrea 1 & 2\. We just walked down the stairs and in to the water. There is a safe in the house. The garage has a washer and dryer. Two small drawbacks ... The greenery in between the house and water provide excellent privacy but unfortunately you can not see the water when seated. Each night we stood to watch the sun set directly in front of the house over the water. Beautiful! The master bed is very firm. Might be a plus for you! The master bedroom requires you to walk thru one other bedroom and the master bath. This house would work fine for 2 couples, but if you are 3 couples, then review the layout. This property is rented out by Paradise Rentals Bonaire. Very responsive via email. Rob and Zwanet are friendly and accommodating locals who run this agency.
