Always Included, complimentary linens and made beds! Take the elevator to the top level of this 6 bedroom Outer Banks vacation home to the expansive great room which features lots of comfy seating in the TV area, bar seating around the kitchen island counter, game table seating, and seating for 10 around a large dining table. A well-stocked cook's kitchen with two dishwashers makes preparing meals easy and clean up efficient, or try the outdoor fish cleaning station to prepare your fresh catch and grill to perfection on the nearby propane grill. Four spacious bedrooms feature king or queen-sized beds on the second level, each with a private full bathroom. A handicap-friendly bedroom with connected full bath and low-profile shower entry is on the ground level next to a sixth bedroom with bunk and trundle beds. The ground floor game area features a wet bar, refrigerator, foosball table and TV. Access the private pool and hot tub through sliding glass doors, or watch beautiful sunsets from any one of the front or rear multi-level decks. Papa Duck is an easy walk to the beach or any of the Duck village shops and restaurants.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I would like to start out to say the house was very nice and comfortable and we had a good time. It was centrally located between the beach and the center of town. Unfortunatley we could not get into the house until 6:00 PM. Even though we were told it would be ready at 4 PM it would have been nice to start enjoying our vacation sooner. There was only one girl cleaning the entire house that I felt really bad for her. We lost the entire day getting into the house at 6:00 PMJust a couple of Issues in the house that should be addressed. •On the top floor bathroom the toilet paper holder was broken•The 2 bathrooms on 2nd floor, the towel racks were broken and in one of the bathrooms the curtain rod kept falling. •The BBQ was filthy and the top shelf of the BBQ was broke. It really needs to be replaced!•All the sliding doors were super dirty especially the doors down stairs and really should be cleaned. •All the living-room furniture in the main living area was stained and warn. •The shower curtain in the downstairs bathroomwas moldy and the drain in the shower was broken.•The seating area on the first floor was not comfortable. And the downstairs area was dirty. •No-one ever came to service/clean the pool even though they said they did. I emailed several times and finally gave up. •There were weeds growing in the back pool area that really should be taken care of.

Suggestions

The house worked perfect for us. The microwave kept blowing the fuse. The downstairs bedrooms ceiling fan wobbled and the light didnt work. Overall our stay was great.

The house was nice. Good Location. The outdoor shower was nice when returning from the beach. We enjoyed the outdoor area a lot with hot tub/pool combo (with gate to keep little ones out when needed). Plenty of counterspace in kitchen and large dining table. The dining table was also used on game nights. Having arthritic knees the elevator was a blessing. Cons: Inside the house there were cobwebs a plenty. Also, we got 1 dishwasher pod for a house with 2 dishwashers. The starter pack with TP was a little disappointing since they knew we would have 12 people. There wasn't even hand soap for bathrooms. Had I known, I would have brought some with me. Those details go a long way with rentals.

Fun and relaxing

Had a very pleasant time. The house was beautiful. Pool was nice and well kept. Pool maintenance came to clean and check on chemicals at least once if not twice during our visit to keep it clean. We did have some trouble with the washing machine, but maintenance was responsive and cane to fix it. It was a nice house. Furniture in basement is not comfy, so Kids didn’t really want to hang out down there. Pool chairs are plastic, but I wouldn’t expect anything different from a rental really. All in all the house was great. Great size, great location, great kitchen, awesome number of bathrooms!!

Great location for an OBX vacation

First time visit to OBX and loved the property. Great location, very clean, big living space. Only complaint was upon arrival (late in the evening) we were attacked by bugs outside. Luckily, none in the house!
