At Duckingham, you are a short walk to some of the best shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, and more at the sound side boardwalk! A quick bike ride from or walk from Duckingham will take you to places like the Waterfront Shops or the Scarborough Faire Shopping Village where you'll be sure to find a unique treasure to take home after your vacation is over. Take advantage of great local dining nearby including Blue Point, Sunset Bar and Grill, Sunset Cantina and so many more! If you crave your morning cup of coffee or want a new book to read at the beach, check out a local favorite Duck's Cottage. Plus, your cottage is less than a 5-minute walk to one of Duck's best neighborhood beaches where you can relax, surf, fish, and more on those sunny days!

Inside Duckingham, you'll find a spacious living area perfect for the family to gather and relax after a long day at the beach. The kitchen is fully equipped for any meal you need to prepare during your visit and the dining room table provides enough seating so the whole crew can sit down and dine together. Enjoy summer nights or early mornings on our spacious front or back decks. One of our queen rooms has a quaint private deck looking all to yourself! Each bedroom is spacious and has everything you need to get a great night's sleep to get ready for another fun-filled day in Duck.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great home in a wonderful neighborhood! Very close to the beach!

My family and I just got home from our stay at Duckingham. We have two teens, a boy and a girl, plus we brought our dog. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the deck with a Nags Head hammock, and that there was a front and a back deck, each with plenty of furniture. Plus, there was a balcony off one of the upstairs bedrooms. The home was clean and well appointed. It was only about a five-minute walk straight down the street to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood, but just minutes away from all the cute shops and restaurants in Duck. This home was a fantastic value for the money! Highly recommend!!
