« The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful »

« Friendly staff including one who formerly and by sheer coincidence worked at the good old boarding school I proudly attended years ago. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with everything including the high standards location and amenities. Cleanliness were very good apart from some surfaces needed a little dusting and one of the bedroom lamps didn’t work though again, overall the standards are extremely high and I’d certainly recommend future guests and I’d certainly return. »

« Only had a short stay at this lovely little place
Staff very chatty/friendly
Had minor issue which was dealt with promptly and without any question or fuss
The breakfast choices were very good and cooked as you asked for it .. not just your average semi warm buffet, cooked fresh
The restaurant food was also very good with plenty of choices
Our bathroom was in need of some TLC but is due for upgrade - did not affect there was plenty of hot water, clean towels daily and lovely soaps etc already...

« The whole experience at the hotel was fantastic. The food was good, room was clean , the bed was comfy, the area is quiet and the staff were excellent. Ideal stop off for travelling from North to South. »
