Gananoque Inn & Spa

550 Stone Street South, Gananoque - Map
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice. The hotel location is brilliant, right by the river and 5 mins walk to "downtown". The only downside is that, relative to the room amenities, it might be a bit overpriced.

"Quiet, comfortable"
No surprises, great value, clean and quiet stay. I didn't have their breakfast, but it looks set up for a basic muffin, toast, cereal and coffee affair.

Best Western Fireside Inn

Relatively inexpensive, clean and cozy room interiors. The included complimentary breakfast was not outstanding but I wouldn't pass it up by any means. Close to downtown Kingston if you have a car (which I did).

Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel

"Nice Hotel Downtown."
Hotel was nice. Never stayed at this particular hotel, but a reasonable rate came up so we gave it a shot, compared to the new Holiday Inn Express on Division Street that we love and will go back to next time. This hotel charges for parking. In regards to the stay I will start off with the good: The hotel is in a good location near everything downtown. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the view from the room was good. I would stay again. This hotel is worth exactly what we paid - $129 a night. Parking was $18, but there is free parking directly outside of the hotel. The bad. Check-in was a pain. They were running a staff of 1 for the entire hotel at 9pm on a Saturday night. The key card reader on the original room we were assigned to did not work. Another trip to front desk while my wife and 2 small children wait. It was 30 mins before we were in our room from being greeted at the front desk. The rooms TV did not work. I called to front desk to ask why and they said well you have to manually punch each channel in to change the TV. What a pain. 8-1, 9-1, 10-1 etc. Get a new AV company guys. Anyways - the room was clean but check in and the TV situation sticks on the mind and made it much less of a good stay than it could have been!

Ambassador Hotel & Conference Centre

"Ambassador Stay"
Room was very small for the price. There was a hockey tournament staying at the hotel and while they told us noise level would be down by 11:00 it was not. Hot tub was luke warm, which was one of the reasons I booked that hotel for a soak in the hot tub, so not was not very relaxing. Hotel staff was nice and check-in/out was fast and efficient.

From taking a quiet walk in the woods to enjoying dinner together on one of the Princess Street restaurants, your Kingston trip for two will bring you closer together.

For your first stop, head over to Collins Bay, located on the western side of Kingston. Besides a charming waterfront and places to go for a boat ride, you’ll find the Lemoine Point Conservation Area. This is the place to walk hand in hand through forested trails, pointing out various types of wildlife. To really up the ante, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy some cheese and fruit in the company of the local chickadees. After several hours in the great outdoors, make your way back to downtown Kingston to wash up, change, and get ready for the main event: dinner. You’ll find everything you could ever dream of eating on Princess Street, which is home to numerous restaurants, cafes, and pubs. Try Greek food, Japanese, or seafood, followed by a glass of wine and shared dessert.
