Construction took place in 1861-62. The church contains William Morris's first commission for ecclesiastical stained glass. The distinctive saddleback tower is over a hundred feet easily catching the changing Cotswolds light on its French Gothic gables: the last of the great Cotswold wool churches, and the first to exhibit work of the English Arts and Craft movement. I was in the anex which was a 1st floor room with the bath room below. It had a whirlpool bath. I found everything clean and usable. It had a small cupboard style kitchenette which was nice with a sink element and plates, cups and cutlery with tea and coffee. The breakfast was in the main farm house next door which was nice and cooked to order by the host who was very helpful and polite. All in all I would use this accommodation again.
