She called a week ahead of time to tell us about the place and go over the rules (super helpful). We were in town for a wedding and the wedding party had 5 rooms at the royal mauian. This unit does not have AC but it was not needed with the ceiling fans and the daily breeze. I highly recommend the location and unit. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. They had four beach chairs a couple noodles and an umbrella that were used. Easy walking access to more than one beach is just what we wanted. We really enjoyed the spacious lanai. We also loved being able to walk to shops and restaurants. We were able to staying cool enough with the fans in late November, but wouldn't trust it in the summer. The condo is well equipped for cooking. Be aware that the bedspreads and couch are white and beige and the rules about keeping them clean caused anxiety. We knew there would be noise from the street but were disappointed by multiple cars blaring booming music several times a day. General noise from the park wasn't an issue except for the park resident right outside the windows that ranted loudly a few times a day for most of our ten days. ##### Angela S. Great location for snorkeling and restaurants in Kihei. We especially loved the sunsets where many would gather outside for pictures. The beds slept very comfortably. The hosts were very accommodating with things we brought up and even spent 30 minutes giving us advice of where to visit during our stay! We really appreciated that given Maui was our first time in Hawaii.The only thing, in our opinion, to bring it to a 5 star would be central air conditioning or portable air conditioning units from Home Depot in each room. Lots of food choices, Great Regal Theatre 6 minutes away with reclining seats (I know you don’t come to Maui for the movies, but we wanted to see Superman & the theatre was a pleasant surprise). 30 minute drive to Kahalui is easy. The check in process was super simple and the condo came with all the essential amenities. The condo has a beautiful ocean front location with a patio overlooking the ocean. It was a short two minute walk to the nearest beach and the property accommodated us with beach chairs and an umbrella. My young children played on the beautiful grassy area right in front of our unit every morning. We could see when big sea turtles would come up onto the beach right from our balcony. Everything we needed/wanted in terms of amenities (restaurants, stores, beaches, parks, etc.) was within a very short walking distance. The condo looks right out onto the water, with views of the well-maintained adjacent park and nearby beach. The condo interior was meticulously maintained with large comfortable beds and high quality finishes. The instructions and trip details we received were extremely helpful. We were beyond comfortable for the entirety of our long stay there and feel that we landed one of the very best rental properties in Kihei. We would love to come back & stay in this exact same spot again. We have SUCH fond memories. ##### Aly C. She compensated us for our out of pocket expense right away. The unit was situated on a beautiful beach with beautiful views. We rented 2 more chairs and an umbrella across the street at the Scuba Shack which I would recommend. It's a great spot to walk to store's and restaurants.
