We even learned how to make delicious local sauces from scratch. It was immersive, meaningful, and gave us a deeper understanding of the village and its culture. Another highlight was their unique half‑board concept. Instead of the usual ryokan-style meals, NIPPONIA partners with local restaurants — breakfast is delivered to your room, and dinner is served at different restaurants in the village. It’s such a smart setup because you get to enjoy a variety of local cuisines every night while supporting the community. "If you looking for a quiet family oriented place for 1-2 nights outside Kyoto with a Ryokan and privacy. This is the place. Bring lots of games and books, nice walks along the river.
