"We were on the end with a small dog and it was perfect to take him out to potty. There were plenty of seats to sit outside and enjoy the weather. We enjoyed sitting in the swing and watch the busy harbor. The walking bridge over to the shops and restaurants was just a few hundred feet away. It was so easy to use. Great time!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Topside Inn. Overall it was a great experience with one caveat. The property itself is in a really great location and provides stunning views. The staff was attentive and the breakfast spread was really good. The carrot cake pancakes may have been the best pancakes I’ve ever had! The only issue we encountered was the room definitely had a damp smell to it right when we got there. We got used to it but it did take a bit away from our stay."

"We stayed there as a last minute added night on our Maine trip late August. The location and views were amazing and Jersey is a hoot. He gives the orientation tour at check in and is very accommodating. The space is beautiful and our room was comfortable and spotless. We liked the community kitchen concept and would appreciate that next time if we stayed more to an a night. I would highly recommend this Inn and its sister property. Very relaxing vibes."
A Cozy Retreat on Southport Island

"The porch/view were lovely. The bathroom could use attention. We received a full roll and partial roll of toilet paper. As far as we could tell, that was all there was for us. We bought a roll of toilet paper just in case. That's the first time we had to do that in a vacation rental. Toilet paper rationing? The handle in the shower was tight and difficult to turn. I have little grip strength in my fingers so it was difficult. I think that could be improved. The bathroom sink drained slowly. On the 3rd day I took out the sink stopper. It was black with goo and long hairs. We both have short hair- this was not our hair. I cleaned it out. The cottage is good on its own and does not need the abundance of beachy decorations. Simpler would be better. The bedroom was ample, with space on both sides of the bed. We liked that. The sheets were nothing special, not crisp or remarkable in any way. The notebook doesn't tell you where the garbage. We did figure that out, only to find a garbage bag in there torn apart by a critter. Not our garbage. Not sure if we would book again."

"This lovely home was a joy to rent It is in a quiet, rural setting, but close to all that the Boothbay region has to enjoy. The hosts were very accessible, and thought of literally everything that we needed, with great attention to detail. The home has an ideal layout if you host guests during your vacation, with three bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. The farmer's porch faces Decker Cove and overlooks a beautifully designed hillside lawn and gardens, illuminated at night by solar lights. We have vacationed in the Midcoast region for many years and this is easily the most comfortable and accurately represented rental we have found."

"Absolutely lovely home and great location! The host was very responsive to communication and the s'mores kit upon arrival was a very sweet touch! My pet felt very welcomed and comfortable as well! One of the best places we have stayed in our many visits to the area!"
