« Hotel room.was clean, however the room needed maintenance badly. Shower handle and tub spout come away from the wall. There's no fan in bathroom so lots of wood in bathroom and room ruined with moisture. Breakfast area a mess and too crowded with people. »

« The main reason I am not happy is I booked a king room at a lower price and then when I got there it was a lot more! On top of that, they had NO king rooms available overbooked! Had to get a queen and only $25.00 credit. Not happy with this! If I am gonna pay $300 a night for 1 room for 1 night it best be the best and what I had asked for!! Very disappointed!! »

« Okay, it's nice enough for hiking and it's clean with a good view. Unfortunately, there is no blow dryer and the communication with the staff is hit or miss. I asked for a 3rd for room with my reservation, but the hotel owners said second floor would be better. Well, you can hear everything from the people above (stomping around and yelling). The area was hit hard from Helene...a lot lf trails still closed and not much for restaurant options in downtown Spruce Pine as they're still recovering. »

« The room was not clean to satisfaction, The bathroom floor was really nasty, no phone in the room to contact front desk, no hot water in sink, and the shower was not working properly. When you got up off the bed it made a strange noise, This is a terrible place to stay i would not recommend it to anyone! »

« Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....
