"A lovely find hidden away off the main street. We only booked the room an hour before arriving but were made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Breakfast was cooked by Phil and was delicious and he came out and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend. "

"We stayed at Upper Instow Beach Cottage (actually a first floor apartment) for a week over Christmas. As it is a historic building it has some quirks but we quickly got used to its 'personality'. If it was any nearer the beach the sea would be lapping at the front door - and with two pubs and a restaurant within 2 minutes walk its a fantastic location.
Everything we needed was provided. Furniture and bedding were comfortable and the kitchen was (despite its compact size) one of the best equipped we have come across in many years of renting holiday homes."

"We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special.
