« I expected that the cabin would be ruined from the flood. I called a day or so before I was due to arrive when I got an automatic message about arrival. Of course I was not comfortable coming as I had a reservation for the end of camp and camps had closed and girls sent home. I said I hoped they could use my dates for volunteers or people who had lost their homes. I hope camp will open next year and I would reserve again. « My friend and I went on a beer, wine and distillery tasting tour from Texas Wine Tours where we were picked up & dropped off at the home in Harper which was only a 25 minute drive from Fredericksburg. We enjoyed the quietness and the Longhorn Cafe was within walking distance from the home. The home was really cozy, we enjoyed all the photos of the family's history and sitting out on the screened porch at night. I would go back because of it's proximity to Fredericksburg and it's not as busy. »
