You'll enjoy the high-floor partial ocean view from this beautifully renovated (2015), contemporary one-bedroom at the family-friendly Waikiki Banyan. This air-conditioned condo has 533 sq.ft. plus lanai with table and 2 chairs.

The Waikiki Banyan is a favorite of repeat visitors with its host of amenities including a pool, hot tubs, BBQ area, and more. All this and just a short 2-block walk to beautiful Waikiki Beach, plus shops, restaurants, the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, and Kapiolani Park! Public transportation is readily available, with stops located right outside the building on Kuhio Avenue.

*BUILDING NOTE: The entire recreation deck, including pool, hot tubs, and BBQ area, will be closed for renovations from April 7, 2025–June 30, 2026. Work hours will be restricted to 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday. Noise is expected. Work dates are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances. Property was exactly as pictured. Checking in was quick and easy. Parking is a pain if you're in a big suv. Clearance is low so no lifted 4x4! Ready enjoyed our stay!

This apartment met all our needs. It was the right size, the bathroom decent. The kitchen had the right cooking utensils. It could have used some spices. The master bed was very comfortable and so was the pull out couch bed. The view was nice, I liked being able to see the ocean and I liked the proximity of the apartment to the ocean. Also it was easy to get around the island. There was one main inconvenience and that was the elevators. We were on the 26th floor and the elevators were too full or broken the entire week we were there so we had to walk up or down 26 floors multiple times and that was at a certain point completely unacceptable. It’s important to know going in that the elevators could be an issue. Walking up 26 flights of stairs multiple times is exhausting. We did end up calling and speaking to the property manager and he was very nice and refunded us 200, which was so kind and appropriate. That being said, I would not stay in such a high rise again.

Great location, and rental company was easy to work with. The other reviews were correct when they referenced how clean the condo was. There was hair in the bathroom when we arrived. The floors definitely needed to be vaccumed and mopped. Bottom of walls needed to be washed. The AC unit LED screen was broken so we did not know the temperature. There was leaking water constantly on the patio outside, not able to sit outside. Over all good location but unsure if we would stay again.

This was our third stay at the Banyon. Fantastic location, reasonably priced and the room was wonderful. We like to cook most of our meals to save money and the kitchen was perfect. Byron, the property manager very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

My sister and I stayed for 5 day's. The room was clean and cute. The only negative thing I'd have to say is the air conditioning is loud and rattles at times. Otherwise everything was good.

Place was easily accessible, room was clean, it was centrally located in Wakiki, it was a block from the beach so a 5 to 7 min walk or so. Definitely satified with the property. 5 out of 5. Would recommend and I would definitely stay at this property again.

This place was in Waikīkī, but near the edge which made it easy to get out of Waikiki to go around the island easier, yet still very walkable.. We had a king bed, AC, parking(!), tv, full kitchen, balcony, pool, playground. There was construction on the building, but it didn't affect us too much. One downside was the elevator situation.. there were 4 elevators in our tower, but 38 floors. I still say you won't find better value anywhere in the area. It really was not that big of an issue. The condo was neat and clean and came well stocked with blankets, pillows, towels, kitchen utensils, etc. The checkin process went smoothly even with a later arrival time, and hosts were responsive.

We went to Honolulu to take our son to college for his senior year. We chose this location for its proximity to his home, the beach, because it had a full kitchen and amenities, and was two blocks from the beach. It’s not in the heart of the Waikiki beaches, so it was not overly crowded, which was great! Super convenient, with a parking space (which was key!), and very clean. We would rent this again for sure.

Perfect location in Waikiki. Great amenities for cooking. Host was well responsive. Would stay here again. Only thing is the sofa bed, wasn’t comfortable but everything was great and the parking. Very close to diamond head state monument.

We had a lovely time in Waikiki at this unit. The photos are accurate and the unit was very clean. It was nice to have a kitchen as well as beach chairs, etc on the balcony. I really liked having the coffee shop in the building, as well as the koi pond in the lobby. There was just a small blip with check in. The electronic lock is a bit tricky and unintuitive. In addition, we were given the wrong code and didn’t realize it until we got back from dinner late the first night. Some of that’s on us for not testing before we left the unit. We were just really hungry. But overall, everything went well and I would use Captain Cook resorts again via Vrbo.

The rental process and check-in were very smooth, and the property manager took great care to communicate with us about the steps to complete as we arrived to ensure we didn't have any difficulty with parking or access. They also promptly answered any questions we had, but we didn't have many since everything was well-organized and orderly, with a number of conveniences provided. The clean, crisp decor felt welcoming but enables you to focus on the amazing view of the ocean and of Diamond Head from the balcony. We were within walking distance of so many places, but also had the peace of mind of guaranteed parking access that always had spots available. The pool deck was a hit with the kids, as were the boogie boards and beach chairs on the balcony that we were able to use for the beach! I would heartily recommend this company and this location, as we had a very positive experience and a very pleasant trip, in large part due to having such a comfortable and inviting place to come back to every day!

Great location, just a block away from the beach. Close to everything -shopping, restaurants, bus stops, beach, tours. The room is perfectly clean. Towels are new. (We love it!!!) Bed sheets and pillow cases are clean. They provide boogie boards, sand toys, umbrellas, and beach chairs. The kitchen is clean. They have pots and pans in case you need to cook. Our kids love the playground, pool and hot tub. Checking in was easy. We really enjoy staying here. Perfect for a small family. The only thing that was tricky was the elevator when we checked out around 10-11 am, It was a really long wait. I guess people check out or leave the room at the same time. So plan extra time if you need to leave around that time. Otherwise, we really enjoy it here. definitely recommended
