"Mostly very clean, except sliding glass doors. Would have cleaned myself but no cleaning materials on site. Wanted to love this place. We have stayed in other units but were delighted to find a first floor unit. The good: well equipped, comfortable, plenty of towels, and beach stuff. Nice patio area. The bad: communication was awful. Don't know if the problem is with the owner or RedAwning. "I’ve stayed here twice and this hotel is really special! The downtown shopping and restaurant area, is literally right there…you can walk to everything from this hotel. The property itself, is lovely — with lots shops, an ABC store, coffee shop, restaurant, as well as pool, bar and small beach. For me, the best thing is all the beautiful artwork and history surrounding King Kamehameha, his family and heirs. Hawaii has a rich history, and it’s on display at this hotel! The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. I will stay again!"

"The check in process was very easy, even for late check in. The property was beautiful. We had an ocean view. There was construction going on in other parts of the complex, but did not bother us. They offered beach chairs and pool noodles for the nice pool. Had the pool to ourselves most times. Loved to be able to walk out and see the sunset every night. The room was nice. Loved having laundry and a full sized fridge. The fridge had some rust and the pull out bed had some kind of sand or something on it, but we just used one of our sheets to cover over it. The staff was very friendly. We loved the location. Just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in town. Overall we had a great experience!"

"You can’t ask for anything more than a view from the living room and lanai of the pool and ocean beyond, with the sound of crashing waves and beautiful bird chirping! The location is perfection for everything we wanted to do: walk to restaurants, do morning yoga just to the left of the property, short distance to snorkeling, etc. It was a great homebase! Super clean and we had everything we needed. Rheee was construction going on, which we were made aware of but it wasn’t bad except for one day. Many thanks to our host who ensured all was well. We hope it’s available again when we come back to BI."
