"The guy that looked after us, Satoshi, was really nice and very accommodating- he didn't speak english and we didnt speak Japanese but we got by. It was end of season and very quiet feeling like we had the place to ourselves. It was clean and immaculate. The breakfast was beautifully presented and ample. He met uas at the station and dropped us off as well as taking us elsewhere as and when needed. A really good experience and we would return."

"I chose this hotel for its location next to a ski resort and I liked the look of the tatami rooms. This hotel is very cheap and you get what you pay for. The room was small and old, the futon mattresses you use to make your bed were thin and I woke up achy every day. The staff were helpful and friendly with limited English. "Spent a winter wonderland of a week at Mont Cervin and can't recommend it highly enough. 15min walk from town but you never have to do the uphill yourself because the wonderful owners will shuttle you to and from the ski fields. At night they'll shuttle you up to the main strip for dinner and it's an easy walk back! I recommend adding on the brekky option, saves a lot of hassle and is delicious every morning. "The W&M House is simply outstanding. The suites are spacious, immaculate, well appointed, and very reasonably priced. While there is not much in the immediate area, the guest house is a short walk to many of the best spots in Kanazawa, whether the restaurant and nightlife district, the Omicho market, museums, and the gorgeous Kenroku-en Gardens.
