The Richmond Barracks are just a short walk from the mail street so far away enough to be quiet but near enough to be in the middle of things. The description of the property is accurate and Simone was on hand throughout our stay to help with anything we needed and just to be friendly. It is only a short walk to the Richmond Arms which was good for meals. Stayed 3 nights which gave us plenty of touring time around central Tas, return mid - late afternoon and time to walk around Richmond. Great pub for dinner. All the shops were interesting and the buildings are architecturally and historically interesting. The bridge is a magnificent example of convict construction. Walk underneath it. The beds were very comfortable ,the linens top class and a very good shower . Our cousins from Sweden joined us and we found the cottage perfect for four and not at all crowded.
