Wallowa River House Retreat

"We had a wonderful weekend here for Labor Day. The cabin is beautiful, very clean and nice. The river right outside was incredible. Was so great to watch the salmon going upstream. Loved seeing all the deer as well. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a getaway in a beautiful location. We didn’t bring our dogs, but they would have been in heaven!"

"Eagle Cap Chalets were absolutely top notch customer service! Everyone greeted us with a genuine smile and welcome for our stays and went above and beyond during our time. Cannot recommend their cinnamon rolls in the morning (be sure to get them while they are warm!) and the location cannot be beat for those looking for extended outdoor adventure."

"Easy check-in/out. Host was prompt to answer questions. Kitchen is not convenient given the refrigerator is in a separate room and dishwasher has to be physically moved and manually hooked up to use. House appears much bigger in the listing photos than in reality, actual living space is very small. Area is stunning, enjoyed our stay and all the wildlife."

"Everything was great except that there is a horse corral immediately adjacent to the property and flies could make it in through both bathroom windows. I think if the fly entry was resolved it would certainly be 4.5 star or more property/stay. We probably killed 26 flies in the two days mostly in the bathrooms but sometimes in the rest of the condo."

"Beautiful drive to get there from McCall to Half Way. We did end up calling the host for our check in code as the internet is spotty at times. This site gave us a place to stay before and after taking the Hells Canyon Jet Boat tour. Very clean and nicely decorated unit. Washer and Dryer was a nice bonus. Bed was comfortable. The town of Half Way is small, but has a well stocked grocery store (Old Pine Market). Each room had a TV. After our 2nd night, We opted to eat breakfast at the Cow Camp Food Truck and Catering as we left town. My only suggestion is I couldn't find any ice trays for the fridge freezer. We were offered the opportunity to bowl next door without charge, but we were tired after our drive and tour."
