Reasons for 4 vs 5 star are as follows: while place was a five star in the big scheme of things I did not realize that their main house was 30 Yards away ie right next door. On VRBO one would think you had complete isolation. 2. The pictures make you dream of sitting outside under the hemlocks in those chairs however they don’t really make this inviting. Chairs are not cleaned off. Outdoor eating table not cleaned off or inviting. Door...

"Stayed here for 9 nights while my daughter showed her horse at the Kentucky Horse Park. The house was clean and well stocked with coffee, towels and blankets. Carol and John were great hosts. Would definitely stay here again."

"From the moment we walked in, we loved our stay! This was the perfect little cottage for our weekend getaway. So cute and cozy, it was perfectly and thoughtfully decorated. We toured all of the local bourbon distilleries and a few local wineries and found the location to be perfect! We also loved that it had a patio with a fire table! It was so relaxing to sit out back and sip on a drink after a long day. Thank you so much for having us! We will be back!"

"Very disappointed in the upkeep of the home. There is no pride of ownership. Worn and pealing deck. Caps missing from deck posts. Chunk of siding has a hole in it. Worn and pealing interior wood floors. Mismatched furniture and wood tops on several nightstands and tables are pealing. Family room overhead light did not work. Mismatched bulbs in overhead kitchen. Bedroom Curtains held back with rubberbands which had to be removed to close for privacy. This place feels unloved and it shows.For the...

"We loved this place… from the moment we walked In to the beautiful decor and coziness galore..we were so impressed by all the little special touches.. personal greeting included! The stone cellar was fascinating! The owners were friendly and responsive. We appreciated their extra details on history as well. The deck and park like area out back was so nice. The absolute only recommendation I’d have would be adding a side lamp to tv room area. Five star rating!"
