I had a great experience staying at Gran Palette Hakodate. I arrived on a day when a fierce storm was raging. Although the walk from the tram stop to the hotel wasn’t far in distance, it felt incredibly long due to the heavy snow, which left me a bit exhausted. Once I got inside the hotel, however, I was greeted by staff who were full of energy and dedication. They welcomed me warmly, and even though there was a slight language barrier, it wasn’t a problem at all. The check-in process was extremely smooth and convenient. The room was spotless, spacious, and boasted a stunning view from the window. The rooftop smoking area also offered a great view—not only is it perfect for smoking, but it’s also an ideal spot for taking beautiful photos. Many passengers places don’t take CC’s and ATMs did not take our ATM cards.
