« This is the most clean, comfortable and welcoming stay I've had in my 7 week journey through India. The room was beautifully decorated with solid wooden furniture. It was light, airy and spacious. The bed was so comfortable, and the white linen soft and clean. We slept so well. The staff listened to us and gave us so much advice during our one night stay. The food was incredible too. Traditional Keralan food - with plenty of choices. We also appreciated the bar. Our only criticism would be...

« The Villa De 1945 is a beautiful building. Rooms are spacious and clean. Wifi is good. The location is central - close to the river walkway. I did find the receptionist when I checked not particularly welcoming but staff overall were friendly and helpful. This seems to be a hotel that caters primarily for Indian guests rather than foreigners. That is understandable as Mahe is not a common tourist destination. »
