The view from the room was terrific, and there was easy access to the water. Floaties and kayaks were available to use. The food was okay. (I’m vegetarian, so all I had was fresh juice and grilled cheese, and the bread was decent.)

This small property on the lake was fabulous. The staff was super helpful and pleasant. It is had a beautiful view from a private deck, was quiet, and clean. The breakfast provided was convenient and good. I would recommend this stay to anyone visiting Guatapé.

We absolutely LOVED our stay. The views are breath taking. The property is clean and feels luxurious. Delicious Breakfast, comfortable beds and incredibly attentive staff. They helps us with anything we needed. They accommodate an earlier check in with us and were only a text away in case we needed anything. We enjoyed our stayed, felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The kayaks are such a special treat. We can’t wait to stay here again!!!!

Location was beautiful, and waking up to the view was amazing. The biggest downside was the room service, not the service itself but the food quality. My girlfriend and I had dinner, and all of it was completely overcooked and dry. The staff itself was quick to respond to anything and very polite.

View is incredible. It has a net lounge which is pretty nice. It has a bath tub in the room. Staff is friendly but just slow with check in and check out since there’s only a few people working there. You can kayak in the river. Breakfast and dinner was awesome. You wake up to the sound of the birds chirping.

Wow! I mean, WOW!!!! This is a real romantic comedy location... The view, the wildlife, nature, the sunsets... Amazing!!!! One little negative thing stands out though, otherwise it would've been absolutely perfect... It's Colombia and they only serve Nescafé instant coffee. I'm sure they can improve on that aspect.

The map on expedia is incorrect. This hotel is not in downtown guatape. It's a 10 minute ride away. However, 1) the hotel will call you a cheap tuktuk 2) you would have to tuktuk to the piedra anyway 3) there are tons of tuktuks in the town to bring you back. Just make sure you have pesos! There are ATMs in town. Although I was initially sad I couldn't walk out and explore the town, in the end I was very glad to have the peace and quiet (and lake access). Also, the hotel delivers food to your door! Other great things: 1. The staff are so kind and welcoming. I came during the week and had the place to myself. They were patient with me as I practiced my spanish. They give you a whatsapp number and you just text when you have a question.. amazing service! 2. The dog on the property is very chill and sweet. 3. I loved the free paddleboard /kayak access. 4. The views from the room were incredible. 5. I always felt very safe on the premise (and in the town) 6. The massage was amazing and very reasonable.

We climbed the rock

We arrived by taxi from Medellin, it was a bit difficult to locate but once we arrived, the front desk was super nice. The resort is relaxing and quiet. Breakfast was brought to our room. The front desk got us taxi's when we visited the Rock and the small town of Guatapa and arranged taxi to take us back to airport. These are cabins, there is no air conditioning, fan only. Because of location this was o.k. for us since it does cool down at night. We also ate dinner here one of the evenings and it was delicious. Most important is the view, these cabins face the rock, with also a view of the lake. We did not have time to get in the lake at the cabins, but when we returned from our day trip it appeared others from the resort were down at the dock having a few drinks. We did take a boat tour of the lake from Guatapa town marina. Guatapa is a gorgeous little town, we loved it. If you are looking for quiet getaway, after touring all day, this is a very nice place. The staff are all excellent. I think it may be family owned or run but did not want to make that assumption. For us we were visiting Cartagena for a week, and added this couple day excursion on. It was a beautiful drive from Medellin. Absolutely everyone we met was super friendly and helpful. We are from US and speak no Spanish, they speak a little English, using whats app communication was fine. They really wanted us to have a good time and it showed. We would definitely go back.
