Greenport, Long Island Hotel Rooms at the Independent

Quiet boutique hotel with easy check in process. Could have stocked mini bar more before arrival. But overall would recommend if you're staying in Greenport.

Good hotel...only issue is the decor of the rooms does not match what is on the website, especially in the bedrooms.

My husband and I have been coming to the Northfork for 5 years and have never stayed at the Soundview Inn - we will make sure we come back again and again. The staff were amazing, the place is a throw back from the 50's, yet with all the modern comforts due to constant upgrading and attention to detail. The location is amazing overlooking the Long Island Sound, the sunsets are breathtaking. My only complaint, and it has nothing to do with the hotel, is the amount of traffic that is on route 48 - sad that this little hideaway of the Northfork is so well known now. We ate at the Soundview Inn restaurant and were very happy with all; The service, the food, and the view. We can't wait to come back.
