« We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend! »

« What a magical experience to stay on the grounds of Newstead Abbey! Gorgeous property all to yourself after hours, with loads of birds and natural beauty. The cottage is clean and comfortable, very quiet and relaxing. You will need a car. I hope to stay here again! »

« Modern, clean stay in Loughborough, close enough to the high street, parks, and shops. The place was great for our little family and hosting the cousins we came to visit for a little sleep over thanks to pull out couch. Well equiped kitchen, and parking was right in front. »

« Annual girls trip; expectation of relaxation and fun. Upon arrival the Lodge was clean, new carpets, clean walls, new kitchen and well appointed/decorated throughout- looks can be deceiving. Preliminary walk around and checks found there was no fire alarms, fire blanket and no Welcome pack or inventory list of what to expect or where to go for emergency planning. Locks to back door broken- no keys to the other back and side door. Mouse trap and fresh droppings under the sink. No PAT testing of...

« Very close to Rutland water. Loads to do at Rutland. Rural location only accessable by car. The owner kindly let us charge the car at the house (we worked out and paid for the electricity used). I was pleased to find there is a freezer in the kitchen. There were lots of kitchen utensils which made cooking easy. »

« A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. »

« Beds comfortable plenty of space and great location. Lovely Thai restaurant locally.Don’t forget to bring a cork screw or as we did ask a lovely neighbour. Hopefully heating is working for you. Do your homework before visiting as no welcome pack in the house that we could see »
