![National Parks hold a special place in my heart. I want to go to all American National Parks before I die. I have seen my fair share to date. A few summers ago now I traveled to Colorado to drive through some of the ones I have not seen. I started in Rocky Mountain National park, went to the Tetons, then Yellowstone. At this point one would think I would be saturated with mountains, rivers, and vistas. What awaited me at Glacier National Park is beyond belief. I had never seen vistas more intensely beautiful. For a park that is covered in snow the majority of the year it was full of life. Every single turn in the road looked like something I could only have dreamed of. It was by far, the most beautiful place I have ever been. Words can not describe the majesty of what awaited me when I arrived. Mountains rose before you, close enough you would think they are only a few hundred feet away, but you could see the base and the peaks at the same time. The mountains filled with emerald green grass and snow at the same time. Forests with lichens and moss scattered wherever the sun would hit. 

This photo was the very first place I stopped inside the park. The sign was right behind me. To me, this park defines Why we need to keep these places preserved. Even with millions of tourists each year I felt I was alone, looking at these wild landscapes, clean and untouched by any human.

« Follow the directions and be patient on the gravel road and you will be rewarded with a great starry sky on a clear night. Abby is as friendly and helpful a host as we have ever had. The kitchen has very modern appliances, easy to cook there, and a bbque grill we used on the deck. One proviso - it is a second story residence to climb and drag luggage up to, so those with mobility problems should pass on it. »

« Our host Aaron was awesome! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be. The cabins were just right and comfortable enough for a relaxing evening after being gone all day. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked with what we needed and if we didn't have it, Aaron got it for us. »

« We had a great time in the West side of Glacier. Everyone was clean, except the floors. While the floors looked clean, they left the bottom of my kids feet black, if they were barefoot. The cabin isn't big and not a lot of room for 8 people. But it did have a cozy camping feeling that we thought was fun. My teenagers thought the record player was interesting and loved listening to the different records. My kids loved playing on the private dock in the evenings. »

"L'hôtel est dans une vieille bâtisse en bois , charmante. L'emplacement dans un petit bois est très agréable. La chambre est plutôt spacieuse à la décoration vintage et rustique. La proximité avec le West Glacier Park est pratique. L'isolation de ces bâtisses anciennes est mauvaise ( on entend les pas des gens au dessus mais ça ne m'a pas gêné plus que ça ( hors saison ) . Par contre le wifi est assez instable et la nuitée reste malgré tout très cher ( malgré un tarif de hors saison ) pour ce que c'est !"
