« This is a special place. It is obvious how much it has been loved by the owners for many years. It is filled with art, books, and unique objects from around the world. It is a wonderful place for family gatherings, with five bedrooms and many different areas to hang out. We played croquet and board games and roasted marshmallows around a fire. We explored the property a bit. Watch out for poison ivy if you do that! Our dog jumped right in a pond. He didn’t realize how deep it was! »

« Mini family vacation. The property was pleasant and convenient to the Museums and Zoo.This is not specific to this stay, but I wish the fees would be available prior to the booking/ payment process. We had to stop the booking of a different property for this trip when the hidden fees more than doubled the cost of the rental. »

« My friends and I found this listing and were not disappointed! The exterior landscaping, pool area, front porch with beautiful vistas and the designed interiors were magnificent! We were older women, but the space is ample and can accommodate families and children - in fact there are lots of games and activities in and outside the property for all ages. Aside from the amenities, the owner has thought through everything to make your stay enjoyable. There is a pantry with coffee/tea and...

« Water front was a perfectly serene escape. House was cute and had everything we needed for a quiet getaway. Would absolutely stay here again. »

« Our expectations were exceeded in every way. The home was immaculate, fully stocked with everything we needed, and had plenty of comfortable spaces for our large family to relax and spend time together. The neighborhood was quaint and peaceful, and the neighbors were incredibly friendly—even taking time to show us around. We were especially delighted by the Boat Parade and the amazing firework displays. It was a truly memorable stay, and we would absolutely return! »

« Property is just as described!! Extremely clean, comfortable beds and furniture. Plenty of space to spread out. AC and ceiling fans were great in the 80 degree heat. About 10 minutes from the fields at UMASS. Eggs, bread, milk, butter and fruit were so appreciated!! Also tea and coffee and oatmeal was a nice surprise!! Hopefully can grab this again next year!! »

« Our daughter’s wedding was at Salem Cross Inn. We couldn’t have picked a better location to gather before and after our celebration. Clean, quiet and a beautiful relaxing setting on the lake. (We also rented the house across the street for additional family members…a real plus) »

« Excellent communication with owners. Unit as described. Very clean and well appointed. The only thing we would have liked was an iron and ironing board; however, a steamer was available. Thank you for a lovely stay! »

The lake is so clean and private where we were! We all fished from the dock, swam and kayaked! We had a fire in the beach fireplace one evening - gorgeous night. The beach area was a great addition! We were sad to leave and plan to return next summer!!! »

« We rented this property because our was getting married in Sturbridge and we wanted a place for the groomsmen to gather and get ready but also where we could spend the night. The location was awesome! ( can’t wait to see pictures) and the host was friendly and quick to respond. We enjoyed it so much that we are already talking about returning for a relaxing visit!! »
