"Fine hotel, undergoing renovations. Not a bother and saw no construction or workers. Only one problem was the heating/cooling system, was listening to the fan all night and woke me several times. I would recommend they put an instruction on how to turn it off. According to the receptionist on check out, she recommended taking the key card out which powers lights and sockets etc and the fan will turn off. With no power at the outlets how do I charge my devices overnight? Please look at an instruction label beside the thermostat. If it cannot be manually turned off by the occupant in the room, then this is baldly designed. Other than that a lovely stay and very nice room."

"Stayed while visiting Ede, friendly and helpful staff, and good menu for dinner. It’s within walking distance of Ede station, so handy if travelling by train."

"My tour group srated here for 2 nights, October 6&7, 2023. Thus is an amazing hotel. Staff go above and beyond to ensure tfeir guests needs are seen to. When we could not get a reservation for dinner at the hotel's restaurant, they called 6 different restaurants for us, and we eventually got reservations at the Schoonard - great choice. The onsite bar was well stocked with lots of choice. I'd last stayed here in October 2010 and was pleased to see the hotel still had the excelkent service i remembered. My only complaint is i found the tub a bit too high to step in and out of confortably. Would have preferred a walk in shower."

"Our stay was good. This hotel is set in a beautiful area but may be tricky to find for some. The disabled parking is a little limited and the parking spaces were quite small. We ate at the restaurant which was good. The room is advertised as having a double bed but there were 2 single beds put together with separate mattresses and covers - This was a shame as it meant we could not sleep as we would normally at home as a couple; this and the unfinished marks where previous light fixtures had been on the ceiling were our main negative points. We did struggle to rest and sleep but this was due to the single bed layout; the property at night is peaceful and quiet. Overall we did enjoy our stay. "
