"Classical good looks and a fabulous location. I expected that meant I’d have to compromise with poor facilities and service- not at all. Ice cold air con and a big modern room"

"The room was clean but not to the standard of a 5* hotel (cracked basin in bathroom, poor water flow in sink, tired looking furniture) but top rate for the bed comfort. Staff were very polite and extremely helpful the whole time. I used the pool which was great and booked a spa treatment. This was not good value for money. I have had many body massages and this was not well done. More like moving oil around my skin. Please check the standard of staff training in the spa."

"Comfortable beds, nice decor, air conditioning was great with all the hot weather. Shower was nice, staff lovely! Only gripe was a dog barking from 7 in the morning when we wanted a little lie in but that's not in the hotels control if guests dogs are barking. Only mention it as it's worth considering if you book into a pet friendly hotel there is a small chance of noise disturbance"
