Good and clean hotel. A very pleasant stay.

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Pros: Very friendly staffs, gave us map when we asked for direction, showed us where to go and how to get there. Room is clean and looks new.
Cons: Nothing. Very good hotel to stay in. No complains.
Location: There are a lot of restaurants around and a supermarket nearby.

Great staff, larger than expected rooms, low price

Posted 10-Oct-2016
Pros: When you add it all up, it was a great value! Breakfast was good as well.
Cons: Two blocks out of what is considered the city circle.
Location: There were restaurants nearby, but it was more residential, so you'll probably choose to stay in the city center for dinner.

very nice hotel - an excellent value for money. The only downside - about 20 min from the center

Lovely hotel, great service and staff.

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Location: If you are happy to wander into the main attractions it is nicely situated, outside of the main touristy areas. Within walking distance.
This was a very nice hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pictures portray the hotel as it is. We found it comfortable and pleasant. The only thing I would have liked in addition would have been tea and coffee making facilities in the room. However, this did not detract from the overal rating of the hotel. We would gradly return to the hotel in the future.

Hotel Orcagna July 2016

Really nice hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice quiet neighbourhood reasonably close to the centre. We used the bus most days. Room was very modern and spacious. Only problem was the lack of air conditioning. The room only had a rather ineffective wall mounted fan. Since we were there during hot weather it was sometimes a bit uncomfortable to sleep.

Very good for a 2 star hotel

Posted 17-Jun-2016
This hotel is lovely and for a two star hotel it has great facilities. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. It was about a 20 min walk into the centre. We also used the secure garage parking which is 10€ per night but there is only 5 spaces between two hotels so you need to book. The room was a good size with a balcony overlooking a courtyard with a hot tub. The room is open plan so the shower is in the bedroom so this is not a room suitable to share with a friend unless you are happy to leave the room whilst the other showers etc. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The breakfast was continental but with lots of choice. There was cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juices, bread, pastries, meats, cheeses and jams. You can also make your own freshly squeezed orange juice. If you want a nice coffee ask for a cappuccino or something as the staff have a much nicer machine in the kitchen and are happy to make it for you (the coffee in the machine in the dining room isn't nice. However the hot chocolate is lovely). The only negative for us but sadly it was a big one, is the noise! The walls are very thin and when someone showered or turned the tap on in the next room it was very noisy. The lift also was very noisy and woke us numerous times at night. If you are a heavy sleep though this would be a fantastic place to stay as everything else was excellent.

My dad, brother, and I stayed at Hotel Orcagna and were very happy with our stay. It is within walking distance of many of Florence's attractions, such as the Duomo, Uffizi, etc. The only downside is that it is somewhat far from the train station. When we got to the hotel, we were very impressed with the room. It was spacious, clean, and modern looking. The hotel staff was knowledgeable and helped us settle into Florence with ease. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient.

Newly renovated surprise gem

Posted 15-Nov-2015
Pros: Newly renovated. Great rooms close to shopping and restaurants.
Location: Close to the Duomo, shopping and restaurants.
Located close to shopping and restaurants. Pictures are outdated. This hotel has been newly renovated. Our room was clean, with lots of light and was very comfortable. A hidden gem.

This hotel was recently stylishly renovated, immaculately clean and the balcony was a welcome extra! It was a little way out of town and quite a walk from the station, but other than that it was perfect! Maria was always very cheerful and helpful as were the staff in general. Breakfast was fresh and good. Overall a very pleasant stay.
