The hotel had great swimming pools and food. The room was comfortable and the only thing that let it down was the bathroom. Please replace the shower curtain and bath mat!
The beach was disappointing as you could not swim off the sandy beach due to a jelly fish and perpetual paragliding landings. However my wife and I would return for an even longer stay.
The night market , that were outside the hotel did not interfere with the peace and calm. Hotel security meant that outside hawkers did not bother guests. The 5* sister hotel next door did allow room charging to this hotel. The food there was also excellent.
The Hard Rock is not a rock n'roll hard-driving sort of place- it is a good family hotel themed around rock music. Good facilities, excellent staff and well located. The only negatives are the sea- you cannot go in it safely- and the limited number of pools. However, I would recommend it for most people over the other options in the resort
"Friendly staff, great pool and close to everything"
Our room was amazingly large with a generous private balcony. Great pool and right on the beach. Night markets and Hawkers Food just outside the hotel. Staff exceptionally friendly. Really good public transport into Georgetown. Highly recommend the hotel.
We stayed at the beach side, the location was excellent, although the room was in need of repair ie wardrobe doors hanging off bathroom fittings needed repair, just general maintainance really
It was nice and clean, would go back maybe in an upgraded room
We stayed in the triple room which was good to accommodate our needs. The shower was superb, water pressure was such that you would certainly enjoy after sweaty day exploring Batu Ferringhi. There were ample parking around the hotel.
Since our requested room was not available, owner kindly sent us to a near by "Baba's guesthouse". Both looked almost the same conditions. A few meters from the beach. 5 mins walk to the bus stop and night market. Lots of places to eat.
Located on the coastal road northwest of George Town, Batu Ferringhi Beach is one of the most popular spots on Penang, a fact reinforced by the presence of major hotels and resorts. Besides the world-class beach, tourists are drawn to the lively nightlife, highlighted by the Batu Ferringhi Night Market, a sidewalk bazaar that features hundreds of stalls selling food, souvenirs, and goods.
