Staff did a great job looking after us. Reception / Concierge / Porters / Bar staff / Waiters at breakfast etc. The only thing I found strange is that the housekeeping / room attendant did not wash our dirty glasses or tea / coffee cups. Some days we had to leave it in the bathroom sink and then they would be washed. Other days when left in the same bathroom sink they wouldn't be washed. Go figure!
The A/C struggled to cool the room, in room 540 when set at 20 deg C.

The rooms have been updated since our previous visit some ten years ago. We were given a welcome drink on our arrival and this was refreshing after a train trip from KL (to Butterfield) where we had spent the first couple of days since arriving from Australia..The hill facing room was beautifully appointed and spotless and could not be faulted with breakfast included for our seven night stay. We had selected this hotel again because of its family friendly nature and pool areas and I believe this still remains today. The only negative was the behaviour of a group of people who frequented the pool area with undisaplined and rude children and annoyed everyone for a couple of days..
"wonderful hotel on the beach and handy for ameniti"
Wonderfull Hotel would love to return.............Staff very attentive............Cold drinks .............brought to you whilst relaxing in the gardens or round the pool...Handy for local transport as well as the famous street night markets.
We arrive around late morning. Greeted by the hotel staff and she try to quickly process our checking in. The front desk look at the any room available for us because previously our room is double single bed. She ask if we want an upgrade. Of course we took it. The view from the balcony room was nice cause can oversee the beach.
We stayed in the triple room which was good to accommodate our needs. The shower was superb, water pressure was such that you would certainly enjoy after sweaty day exploring Batu Ferringhi. There were ample parking around the hotel.
Since our requested room was not available, owner kindly sent us to a near by "Baba's guesthouse". Both looked almost the same conditions. A few meters from the beach. 5 mins walk to the bus stop and night market. Lots of places to eat.
Located on the coastal road northwest of George Town, Batu Ferringhi Beach is one of the most popular spots on Penang, a fact reinforced by the presence of major hotels and resorts. Besides the world-class beach, tourists are drawn to the lively nightlife, highlighted by the Batu Ferringhi Night Market, a sidewalk bazaar that features hundreds of stalls selling food, souvenirs, and goods.
