« What a lovely place to stay, an amazing find. Dinner in the bar, fish and steak dishes were excellent, tasty, fresh enjoyed with a fine wine and relaxed with cheese and biscuits afterwards.
Staff extremely helpful and courteous. A lovely gentlemen serving breakfast cared to explain the local area. Breakfast food also wonderful.
Spa facilities used in the morning and then on our way, beautiful property and very relaxing.
Only booked for one night but will definetly return. Truly delightful...

« We were in room 169. It was a very long walk to the room. However, it was worth it. We had a full view of York Racecourse, from our balcony.
The room was very roomy and well equipped. The restaurant served an excellent dinner and a very nice buffet breakfast.
The hotel originally was a Manor House built in the 1880s. A very interesting history of it can be found online.

« I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine.
Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church.
