The hotel owner provides no information as to the £10 per day car park charge until you arrive. Car parking is a must for my business travel. The staff seem generally unhelpful. The carpets in the room were filthy and the towels simply stank. Starting with the positives this hotel is in a good location, good breakfast and friendly staff and I fully recommend the Gurkha restaurant next to this hotel. Unfortunately this hotel is let severely down by a he condition of the property which was extremely dated throughout. This was then exacerbated by rips in the curtains, the toilet seat was broken and to complete the trinity the shower head was hanging by a thread from the ceiling. As I am 6’ 4’’ this made showering difficult to say the least.
