The property fit our family needs well and was in a great location. Kitchen could use some updating of pots and other necessities. No where on the listing did it mention there was someone living in the basement. The listing said there was parking for 4 vehicles. The resident downstairs has a moped and a car. We had 4 vehicles (a couple large vehicles due to hauling horse trailers), and we ended up parking 2 at the fairgrounds after being unpleasantly woken at 4:45am to move our car so he could get out. When I contacted the host, I was told they weren’t aware that he needed to park at the property. The parking situation was very frustrating and uncomfortable due to the interactions with the downstairs resident.

Just okay

The house was just ok and definitely not worth the price we paid for it. Check in was delayed due to previous guests so cleaning crew was scrambling to get it ready. They did as well as they could but the home in general had some cleanliness issues. One of the bathroom drains didn't drain well so there was standing water, towel hangers in bathrooms were bent or missing. The shower curtain in another bathroom was 100% cotton with no liner so it was just damp all weekend. There was a general mildew smell in all spaces that had sinks. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the property. We had booked it because of the big space and hot tub close to town but we didn't end up using the hot tub due to the state of the interior of the home, we weren't sure about getting into the hot tub.

Overall, the house was the perfect size for our family with plenty of space. The location was in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything. The hot tub was a great amenity on those cool nights. My only suggestions would be to have more bath towels and designated hot tub towels. The kitchen is large enough for family cooking, however, it’s not set up for those of us who love to cook. There was a limited amount of pots and pans, plates, and silverware to accommodate all of us. Simple upgrades in these areas would make this house irresistible!

Weekend getaway

Check in was easy and this was a beautiful home with beautiful views. We could not get the tv in the bedroom on the main floor to ever connect to the internet and we could not find the remote in the master bedroom. I had emailed Ericka but she just responded with the wifi password. We ended up not being able to use the tv on the main floor or master bedroom. I was surprised to not have any shampoo / body wash in the bathrooms, which is not a big deal if we had known that ahead of time. We also could not find the games anywhere if they had any. Overall we had a great weekend and it was a beautiful home. We would stay here again.

Beautiful Home

This house was amazing. My family and I enjoyed every minute there! The house was even better than we expected! The property manager did not return our phone call regarding Wi-Fi issues, but other than that, it was phenomenal.

Not a full house rental this is a duplex

Disappointed there was people living in the house basement. This is not anywhere in the listing. Neighborhood is very very very nosey. The yard was covered in dog poop so much so that we brought our dogs home and had someone else watch them. The check in was easy and the property manager was very good at communication because one chair was broken when we arrived. The views from the home are beautiful. Overall we were disappointed with our stay and wouldn't recommend staying here. Should be listed as a duplux or townhome not worth the price when you're sharing space and don't have the full house.

Great family time in Estes Park

We enjoyed our stay in Estes. There were some minor issues, the biggest was that the hot water in the kitchen sink was barely more than a trickle. We had to heat water on the stove to do dishes. There was an apartment downstairs with its own entrance, but it would have been nice to know someone was living there prior to renting. We didn’t have to interact with the person, which was nice, but would’ve been considered in our decision on where to stay. Overall we had a wonderful time in Estes.

The listing did not mention somebody was living on the property. Apparently, there was a small apartment in the basement. We would not have chosen this house if we knew, unless details were provided about the situation. The house was great and met our needs. Kitchen could use better organization, but that was a minor issue. I would recommend this property only with full disclosure of possible residents on site.

Book a different home!

To start off, upon arrival the door code was not working and the house was just left unlocked. We were a day late checking in due to weather, I do not know if the house was unlocked the entire time. I started emailing regarding how do we lock the home while we are out. We had to go out to dinner without locking the house. Secondly the downstairs toilet broke the first night there. In the upstairs bathroom thrown in the corner was a cleaning spray, cardboard toilet paper roll & soap. Finally by the next day there was contact about getting a key to us and was dropped off that afternoon. The point of contact stated someone would be over to fix the toilet and door code. I also need to mention that the bracket on the door frame was barely holding on by one screw, it looked like someone had tried to break it. I was just left with a very uneasy & unsettling feeling. The toilet and door code did not get fixed until the afternoon of the 3rd day there. Then the downstairs sink started leaking. My son told me that their bedroom room was cracked open in the middle of the night. So needless to say by the 3rd day, we packed up our belongings and left even though we had the home for another 3 1/2 days. I’ve reached to for some sort of resolution since we needed to find and pay for other lodging due to safety reasons and the issues with the home itself. Still have yet to receive a response. I will edit or update my review if I ever receive a resolution or not. I would definitely find another

Wonderful Home in a Beautiful Place

The house was clean upon arriving; the cleaning crew was still there at 3 and we couldn’t check in until 4. The property was as stated in the listing. The only issue we had was the front door lock was not working properly and after 2 emails we still never heard back from the home owner… We had a great time and will rent it again- maybe this summer.

Christmas in Estes Park

This property is spacious and it accommodated our group of eight very well. It allowed people to spread out and no one felt cramped. The master bedroom upstairs is huge!! The other bedrooms are normal size. There are three bedrooms upstairs each with one bed (king, queen, and a double). On the main level, there is one bedroom with a queen bed. There are some minor repairs needed. The toilet on the main floor continues to run. It probably needs to have the plunger replaced. The kitchen faucet leaks around the sprayer, the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator do not work, we could not find a TV controller for the main floor bedroom and the controller in the master bedroom upstairs did not work. There are some screws that need to be tightened up on curtain rods, etc. We felt all of these things were pretty minor easily remedied. This unit has some very nice features. The hard wood and tile flooring on the main level is great. The large fenced in back yard allowed us to let our dog out without having to put her on a leash. There are multiple decks on this house with outside seating. Although we didn’t use it, there is a gas grill outside and a fire pit. If you need to do laundry, there is a nice front end load washer and dryer in the upstairs laundry room. All in all we enjoyed our stay here very much. Having ample space for people to spread out was awesome.
