Best Deal in the Dells

I found this place after scrambling last minute to book an inexpensive room in the Dells. Summer Breeze was significantly less expensive than everything else so we simply hoped for the best and booked. First things first, I personally loved the location. It's roughly five minutes away from the Dells strip so you're close to everything but without the noisy chaos of most hotels down there. It feels like you're tucked back in nature a bit and that was perfect. Second, the staff was super friendly, didn't run me through ten minutes of checking multiple records like other hotels, and actually helpful. It was a nice change of pace from most hotels where they act like you're an inconvenience and try to shuffle you out of their way. The rooms were comfortable and nice. The decor is a little dated, but it's also really clean so we didn't mind at all. Wi-fi worked well. Cable worked well. A/C was a window unit but it cooled the whole room inside of ten minutes and kept it cool. Bed was comfortable. Plus there was a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. We didn't have time to use the pool but it looked clean and nice and most importantly, not overcrowded. Overall, it was a great stay, an amazing find for the price, and we'd absolutely stay again.

Cute hotel outside of the Dells

Around 5pm on the day of our arrival, I got a voicemail message stating that my reservation would be cancelled if I didn't arrive by 6pm. A few feverish calls later, I was told I received the call by mistake - but it did not make for a good first impression. The room was clean and adequate, but a bit on the small side. The pool was nice for the kids, but don't expect a waterpark. It's 2 kiddie slides into 1' deep water, and some basketball hoops in 4' deep water. There was a hot tub, but it was full of people drinking.
