Even though Taranaki region is easily accessible, most tourists ignore it as it is on a path less traveled. It is a shame as Egmont National Park has beautiful scenery, lush temperate rainforest vegetation and this gorgeous waterfall known as the Dawson Falls! The hike to the waterfall is short but with some steep steps, and the view point above is even more easily reached.
