« This is the second time we stayed at this home. You can't beat the location for all the space. It's spacious, very clean, and bug-free, which is a priority for us. It has a nice fenced-in back yard for the kids to run, and entertain. The host is always there for you. We have family in the area, so this has become our go-to place when visiting. Location, location, location!! The best. And super clean. We'll book here again. »

« We have stayed in Sara’s Shacks before so we weren’t concerned. Unfortunately we should have been concerned. We arrived after dark. Once I got into the house to turn the outside lights on, we found that the front porch light was burnt out and the back porch lighting was very poor. I messaged Sara about the front porch light and she messaged back immediately “I’ll send someone over to change the front porch light, sorry about that.”The next night we came back and no light. « Rooms were clean but old, needed cracks sealed, seals around toilet, tub, sink, faucets, floorboards not done. Checked into a kiosk, not a live person. Noisy, noisy, noisy. »

« 1st room had a very bad smell. Desk clerk was very nice and offered another room immediately, that one had no particular smell. However, it’s obvious that the cleaning is poorly done or not at all, bathroom sink and shower are terrible, we didn’t even dare sit on the sofa with the stains!!! Loud noises coming from somewhere inside the building until late at night and beginning early morning. »

« This was not the "Hideaway" advertised. The host's teenage son had a bday party complete with airguns and plenty of teens screaming and running around the property. It was loud and triggering and NOT AT ALL the peaceful experience that was advertised. The noise stopped at 10 pm - apparently the start of 'Quiet Hours.'
