The views of the Appalachian foothills are stunning, and the atmosphere is calm in a way you almost forget exists anymore.The porch is a dream — especially the cushioned wooden swing overlooking the pond. It became our favorite reading spot. Down by the water, there’s a cozy fire pit where my kids and I made s’mores under the stars. The interior is just as special: a charming spiral staircase, worn wood in all the right ways, eclectic Adirondack-style decor, and vintage touches (like metal tins and a coo coo clock) that give it a warm, nostalgic feel.Every nook invites relaxation — whether you're enjoying morning coffee on the porch or curling into a deep couch after sunset. The silence of the surrounding woods is unforgettable. "This is a nice quiet motel in a very small community. The owner went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay. Offered suggestions for dining, offered to help with luggage, and ensured we were comfortable. The rooms are very dated, but the friendliness and kindness of the owner more than makes up for it! AC was cold, fridge was great to have, and the bed and pillows were absolutely perfect! Keurig coffee in the lobby with fresh creamer was always available, which was a wonderful amenity! Just a short 30 minute drive to Letchworth State Park (Grand Canyon of the East) is a must do! Kudos to the owner, he is a real gem!!"
